Mabel I. DuBois, 74, a lifelong Rhinebeck resident, died Wednesday, July 21, 2010 at Northern Dutchess Hospital in Rhinebeck, NY.
For many years, and until her retirement, she worked at Northern Dutchess Hospital in Rhinebeck, NY.
Mabel was devoted Elvis fan and enjoyed all that Rhinebeck had to offer. Everyday, for many years, during its running she would attend the Dutchess County Fair; she also enjoyed Wilcox Park and spending time with her family.
Born on May 30, 1936, in Rhinebeck, NY, she was the daughter of the late Henry and Edna (VanWagner) DuBois, Sr.
She is survived by two daughters; Lena DuBois of Kingston, NY, and Terri Raleigh of Saugerties, NY, two sisters; Irma Howard and Edith Baldasty of Rhinebeck, NY, five grandchildren, 5 great grandchildren, and several nieces & nephews.
She was predeceased by three sisters; Leona "Midge" DuBois, Anna Newkirk, and Lena Gitschier, and two brothers; Henry DuBois, Jr, and Charles DuBois
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM on Monday July 26, 2010 at Burnett & White Funeral Homes, Rhinebeck, NY. The Rev. Frank L. Cirone will officiate. Inurnment will be at Rhinebeck Cemetery, Rhinebeck.
Arrangements are under the direction of Burnett & White Funeral Homes 91 E. Market St., Rhinebeck, NY.
