Shane Anthony Leone passed away February 2, 2010 at his sister's home in Leesburg, VA after a brief battle with cancer. Although he lost this battle throughout his life Shane fought hard to overcome many setbacks caused from a kidney disease that struck when he was just a toddler.
Besides spending time with loved ones Shane's passions included computers, comic book heroes (his favorite was Spiderman), and pool. He was an avid golfer. He spent most of his high school days learning and playing golf which included a trip to the state championship. He was lucky enough to meet his golf hero, Jack Nicklaus this past year. Shane was fun loving, smart, hard working, thoughtful, out going, charming, and most of all courageous. Shane had a smile that touched and brightened anyone that knew him. He was a one of a kind, special human being that above all loved his family and friends.
Shane was born September 14, 1974 in Rhinebeck, NY to Charles and Susan Leone of Claverack, NY.
He graduated from Red Hook High School in 1993, and attended Ulster Community College before transferring to Virginia Tech where he graduated with a BA in Mathematics in 1999. Shane later received his Masters Degree in Information Technology from American Intercontinental University. He was the IT Manager for CB Squared Services, INC. He also owned and operated Top Notch Technologies.
Keeping his memory alive are his sister and brother-in-law: Melissa and Timothy Brown of Leesburg, VA, his brother & sister-in-law: Joseph C. & Susan Leone of Woodstock, NY, his brother: Charles W. Leone Jr. of Elizaville, NY and his brother & sister-in-law: Michael J. & Angela Leone of Tivoli, NY, his Godchildren: Corey, Masan and Reese Brown, along with many nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins and countless friends. He also leaves behind his devoted girlfriend: Caiti O'Connor of Manassas, VA.
